A lot of things about Australian advertising don't make sense to us. The industry's most popular news site has an anonymous comments section and there's a show called AWARD awards. It seems like everything is an acronym, including the agencies, but also two agencies have more than one animal in their name.
On the other hand, a lot of things do make sense. Like brutal honesty, sketch pads, and creative teams. When we met, we had no idea we would team up. But we each shared a love for making stuff. Then, all of a sudden – coming out of the AWARD school hot-house a little less green – partnering felt like the solve that was there all along.
Jamie has worked as a graphic designer at agencies for the last five years, so she knows what's up. Harry barely knows left from right, but he has written user manuals for startups and edited books which counts for something. And both of us trained to do what we do.
Anyway, we wish ideas grew on trees. That way we could plant the trees on the ceiling and ideas would hang down, making them easier for us to pick.
